CPU Charts |
The lightweight Linux distribution SliTaz 3.0 includes HardInfo, a system profiler with a set of single-threaded benchmarks. Whenever I have access to a new machine, I boot into SliTaz and run these benchmarks. These charts show the results. Because the benchmarks are not affected by differences in operating system or core count, they are a good way to compare single-threaded CPU performance. See the SliTaz Handbook for instructions on booting into SliTaz. Entering hardinfo -f html > report.htm at the command line runs HardInfo and generates a report with benchmark results.
